Happy 2009!

Uso yata ang new-year themed posts so makigaya na din ako. I’ve been trying to come up with a list of new year’s resolutions but I got nothing. Instead I have goals for this year. Let’s see…

- To graduate and pass the nclex. This is not optional. If I have to study till my eyes fall out to make this happen, I will. ‘Nay, I hope I’m not jinxing myself by saying all this.
- Find a new job by the end of the year.
- Learn how to drive.
- Have a much needed and much deserved vacation to the Philippines. It’s been 3 years since the last time I went back home.
- Lovelife? Ewan. hahaha.

I’m stopping now before this gets too dramatic or personal hehehe.

Anyway, I’ve been cleaning my cluttered computer and found this pic. I posted this in my old blog June of 2007. Sayang naman. From top to bottom - Alfonso, Daneka, Omar, Matel, Ate Anabel, Joycee, and Xandro.

Ewan ko ba kung bakit ayaw nilang magpa-picture.

Nawawala

This is a classmate who had zero sleep the previous night…

Classmate: Where’s my glasses?!

She starts looking left and right in a panicky way. Another classmate and I stop and look at her…

Me: Ate, what are you talking about? You’re wearing them.

Wahahaha. We all had a good laugh out of this. Classic.

Name Game

Ok, I’m going along with Nonoh’s tag game.

Rule: List all the names you were called by and the people who call you that. Tag at least 5 members of your contacts and give a comment on their site for them to know they’ve been tagged.

Loreta - my real name, which I hate. I don’t know how many times I’ve asked my Pops why I had to be given such an old-fashioned name hehehe. Would I change it? No. I don’t want to go through the trouble of dealing with documents and whatnot.
- My Ma calls me this when she’s angry.
- Instructors and classmates (here and back home) call me by this name. Also, hospital folks, the staff and patients,  where we do our clinicals.
- A friend from nursing school, like in a warning tone or when she’s being strict with me hehehe…

Lorie - family, friends, folks who are more than casual acquaintances, people at work, neighbors in Manila.

Lors - family, friends, neighbors. Mostly I hear this when I’m in the Philippines or when I’m on the phone with family back home. The (s) at end of the name is a Filipino thing.

Lor - coworkers (main office and nightshift folks), friends and classmates here in US.

Yun lang…

Old Pictures - Part 2

These are pics from our class trip to Baguio City, senior year. Kita niyo naman at nag-enjoy ang mga bata…

1. Pose lang. Tin and Lhen, wala kayo, sure ako nag-date hehehe.
(Joemen, Salyn, Ann, Melisse, Me!, Salve)

2. Joementot, KJ ayaw tumalon…

3. Nandyan ako promise. Sa likod, one of the boys.
Katabi ni Salvetot, payong forever hehehe…

4. Sige picture lang.

Old Pictures

Look at what I found in my photos directory…

1. In Luneta Park, supposedly doing a project hehehe

2. Ann’s House

3. Smile!

4. Hmmm…hehehe

5. Sa kanan muna Jay

6. Sa kaliwa naman. hahaha.

7. Mga bata pasaway, taken about 8 years ago…

8. In Laguna, with relatives and neighbors.
Duon ako sa left-hand side nanlulunod ng pinsan.

Hahaha. Saya saya. It’s funny how I used to look at these photos and I would be sad, even cry during my first year here in NJ. Now I have a big, goofy smile on my face and I feel all warm and fuzzy. I had a great childhood and many great people were in it. xoxo
