I haven’t been blogging because I was busy trying to fix my installation of the Now Reading plugin. It’s not supposed to be complicated: you download the zip file, unzip, upload to plugins folder, activate, and you’re all set. But for some reason, I can’t add books, which is leaving me with so much frustration. I did my research and, apparently, this is not a common problem because nobody’s talking about it and there are no fixes. There are two people who have the same problem and asked the author in his website but the questions they posted haven’t even been acknowledged. Nice. So I’m really considering Mang GB’s suggestion of moving to another hosting service, although I’m not happy because it’s such a hassle.

That was when I found out that I cannot upload images. I did some Google-ing and I found out that a lot of people have the same problem after installing or updating to WP 2.5. Anyway, I reinstalled Wordpress, made sure that I have the latest version of Flash player, created a .htaccess file (I’m not sure I did this right though), but I still cannot upload so I just used the no-flash-uploader plugin. Apparently I can upload images now but the process is verryyyy slowwww. The author of the aforementioned plugin suggests the following be checked - clickie here - before resorting to just using the plugin. I should look into this…sometime…

I apologize for my page’s lousy appearance. I am currently attempting to create my own WP theme. I know I should be doing this locally or behind the scenes but…nah…too lazy.

I was complaining earlier to manong GB that WordPress 2.5 wouldn’t install properly but last night, when I was trying to install it, I wasn’t paying that much attention because I was trying to finish a book. What I was getting were ‘undefined index’ errors; thanks to deanlee.com for the quick fix. And, of course, there were settings to change. Rereklamo kasi agad…
